Prospective members’ nights will be held in the library of St Emily School, 500 Chapman Mills Drive, in Barrhaven, Ottawa 7.15- 9.00 p.m. on Tuesday March 2, March 9 & March 16, 2010

Who we are and what we wish to achieve

We are a group of friends who enjoy singing together in the barbershop style. The style consists of four-part harmony with no instrumental accompaniment applied to a variety of songs ranging from oldies through standards and gospel to rock & roll.
Under the direction of BJ Vermue, our music director, we hope to develop our singing and performance skills to a level where we can perform as a chorus.
We plan to become a chartered member of the international organization, Harmony Incorporated which is a vibrant organization of women of all ages, recognized for world-class singing in the barbershop style and for promoting bonds of friendship. In accordance with Harmony Inc. policy we have an elected board of directors; they are President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
It’s not all hard work; we usually spend an hour socializing once a month at one of the nearby restaurants!
